Thank you for your interest in the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers.

The 501st Legion is an international fan organization, and the preferred imperial costuming group of Lucasfilm, Ltd. (LFL). The 501st has more than 5,000 members in 47 countries. Our appearances are not sponsored or compensated by LFL, and are subject to the charter of the 501st Legion.

Our activities involve promoting the building and wearing of Star Wars costumes, volunteering for charity, and attending collectible or other related conventions. When requested by Lucasfilm, we wear our costumes to promote officially licensed Star Wars activities, events and products. We are a non-stock, not-for-profit volunteer organization. We are not mascots or cosplayers, but professionals whose hobby happens to be wearing movie-quality, screen-accurate Star Wars costumes in order to raise funds for charity.

Being a not-for-profit organization, we do not charge a fee for appearances in events. Instead, we request event organizers to make a donation to a charitable organization on behalf of the 501st, preferably children's causes. Some of the institutions we have donated to are: Caritas Manila; PGH Children's Cancer Ward; PGH Special Education School; Kythe; Make-A-Wish International and Make-A-Wish Philippines; Bantay Bata; UNICEF; UNDP; the Laura Vicuña Foundation; and many others.
